Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Zindigon ToonData. We've tried to write it in plain language rather than dense legal boilerplate.
The short version
ToonData has no backend server and no account system. Character searches you type into the site go directly from your browser to Daybreak's Census API. ToonData does not see, log, or store your searches anywhere. As of this writing, ToonData does not use analytics or advertising. If that changes, this policy will be updated first, see "Future changes" below.
Information we do not collect
ToonData does not ask for or store your name, email address, Daybreak account credentials, password, payment information, or any gaming-platform login. We have no way to access your Daybreak account, and we will never ask you to log in with it.
Character search data
When you search for a character, that request is sent directly from your browser to Daybreak's public Census API (census.daybreakgames.com). ToonData's own servers are not involved in that request and do not receive a copy of it. Daybreak's handling of that request is governed by Daybreak's own policies, not this one.
Hosting and technical logs
ToonData is hosted as a static website. The hosting provider (currently GitHub Pages) may automatically collect standard technical information common to any web server, such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps, as part of operating its infrastructure. ToonData does not control or have access to these logs beyond what the hosting provider makes available. See GitHub's own Privacy Statement for details on how they handle this data.
Cookies and analytics
ToonData does not currently use cookies, analytics services such as Google Analytics, or any tool that tracks visitors across sessions. If analytics are added in the future, this section will be updated to name the specific service, what it collects, and how long that data is retained, before it goes live.
Advertising
ToonData does not currently display advertising. If advertising such as Google AdSense is added in the future, it may use cookies or similar technologies to personalize ads and measure performance. Before any advertising is enabled, this policy will be updated to disclose the ad provider, the data involved, and any consent controls required for your location.
Data retention
Because ToonData does not currently store character searches, account data, or analytics, there is no personal data of that kind being retained. Any technical logs generated by the hosting provider are retained according to that provider's own policies, not ours.
Children's privacy
ToonData is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Because ToonData does not collect personal information as a general matter, this is largely academic. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this site, contact us and we'll address it.
Future changes
As ToonData adds features such as analytics, advertising, saved searches, or accounts, this policy will be updated to accurately describe what's collected, why, and how long it's kept, before those features go live. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
Your options
Because ToonData doesn't currently store any personal data of its own, there's generally nothing to request deletion of. If that ever changes, this section will explain exactly how to request access to or deletion of information ToonData directly controls.
